Working With Our Partners

In order to build a bright future for children and young people in Barnet, the Council places increasing emphasis on partnership working. The reason for this is simple. By harnessing the resources, the skills and the experience of other specialist agencies, all of whom are familiar with working alongside children and young people, we’ll be in a better position to help them grow into life-enriched adults. It’s a philosophy that’s standing us in excellent stead as we continue to rise to the challenges of providing a comprehensive children’s service. More importantly, it’s a way of working that’s making a huge difference to children and young people in Barnet.

Right now, we’re reaping the benefits of successful relationships with Barnet College, Middlesex University, The Metropolitan Police, Barnet Voluntary Service Council, Barnet PCT and Barnet Farm Hospital NHS Trust. Talented professionals are ever-present on both sides of the partnership and you may wish to work with children and young people through joining one of these agencies.

The roles we’ll be recruiting to within our partnerships include: early years, play workers, health, healthcare and therapy assistants, nursery nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, school Nurses, speech and language therapists, teaching assistants, teachers, foster carers, social work volunteers, youth workers and apprenticeships. Here’s more information on the partner agencies with these roles on offer.
